We developed a modern content management system (CMS) from scratch to streamline the creation of exam questions and the assembly of assessments. The platform simplifies question authoring, exam construction, and content management, making the entire process faster, more efficient, and easier to manage for educators and administrators.

Our client — a major player in the education sector — needed a scalable and user-friendly CMS to manage exam content. Existing tools were inefficient for creating questions, assembling exams, importing materials, and handling large volumes of data. The main challenges included an inflexible editor, low table performance, outdated authentication methods, and limited search capabilities. They required a solution built from scratch that would provide speed, ease of use for educators, support for QTI standards, and centralized content management in a single platform.

The Abyron team developed a full-featured CMS platform from scratch, creating an intuitive question editor with interactive elements, an exam-building system, and flexible content management tools. We implemented drag-and-drop functionality using native browser support, introduced chunked data loading for improved performance, added tags to simplify table searches, and replaced the outdated WYSIWYG with a modern, flexible Rich Text Editor. On the backend, we implemented QTI file conversion to automatically import client questions into the new format. We also introduced SSO for enhanced security and usability, optimized component rendering, and improved overall UX, making the platform faster, more intuitive, and highly efficient for educators, exam administrators, and managers.
