We developed a modern web-based platform designed to centralize and manage product information across multiple suppliers. The solution serves as a master data system that ensures consistency, accuracy, and regulatory readiness of product records throughout the organization.
Our client operates as a supplier within a complex B2B supply chain, working with a wide range of product vendors. Due to regulatory changes, the business needed to extend its existing internal product management application to support additional classification and marking requirements.
The platform is used internally and plays a critical role in maintaining structured, up-to-date product data required for compliance, logistics, and downstream operations.
We extended the existing web application by introducing full support for product classification and marking codes, including:
- Harmonized commodity and product classification codes
- Global trade item identifiers
- Country of origin data
- Structured validation and storage of regulatory attributes
The solution was designed to seamlessly integrate with data sources from multiple suppliers, ensuring reliable aggregation, searchability, and synchronization of product information.
Despite working within a legacy UI/UX framework, we proposed and selectively implemented interface improvements to simplify data entry and reduce errors where possible.
As a result of the implemented solution, the client achieved measurable operational and compliance improvements:
- Enabled regulatory compliance without disrupting existing business processes
- Centralized product data from multiple suppliers into a single source of truth
- Reduced manual errors in product classification and labeling
- Improved data consistency across logistics and operational workflows
- Increased scalability of the platform for future supplier and product growth
